I know it has been a while.......

I told you that I would be bad about updating my blog! Anyway, I get stuck on Ravelry and CafeMom and forget to write on the blog. I have been crocheting away, just not as much as I was during the Olympics. What have I done? I have made a hat for a friend, started on a plarn bag(which is one I am using as a filler project, meaning that I can put it down and pick it up at another time), started on a pair of socks(something new for me!), looked at afghan patterns galore for two projects I want to do, and am looking for another hat pattern for the same friend. What I have planned: another two hats, finish the plarn bag, finish the swimsuit skirt, make a couple of stuffed animals for christmas presents, work on the socks, decide on two afghan patterns and find out favorite colors for said afghans. Wow, how did I get so much to do? Having a two year old doesn't give me much time to work because he would walk off with my yarn! So I haven't gotten much done lately, but it will get done when it does. I will post pics and links for the stuff that I am doing and have finished at a later time(again!).

Ok, if you knit, crochet, spin or otherwise work with yarn; you seriously need to join this site(if you haven't already)! I am not an advanced crocheter by any means, but you can get a lot out this site about patterns, ideas, yarns, problem-solving, advice. It is awesome! Ok, shameless plug over.



On Ravelry, there is a group that decided to have an Olympic competition of its own. Well, that group grew fast! They decided to start a project when the Olmpics started and have it done when they ended. Well, I decided to join and start a team of my own(Team San Diego), then I decided to list 4, yes 4, projects for myself. I have one done, one almost done and will be finished tonight, and one in the works. The fourth probably won't get done. So, anyway, I wanted to share pictures of my projects. This first one is a hat and a very easy, quick project. I have made 3, but one is going to be frogged because it didn't work out.

Well, I decided to start a blog. I am going to use it mostly for my crochet projects, but my family and work will be in here also, as I want to be able to use it to keep friends and family updated on us. I probably won't be updating everyday, I will be lucky to update weekly! So we will see how it goes and if I like doing it. If it doesn't seem to be working for me, then I will delete the blog.
